Terms of service

1. About these terms

These terms are a contract between you (the business signing up) and Dan White trading as ReviewAdder, of 26 Shackleton Way, Yaxley. PE7 3AB (“we”, “us”). ReviewAdder is for businesses only. By creating an account you confirm you are acting for a business and accept these terms.

2. The service

ReviewAdder helps you ask your customers for reviews by text, email and QR code, shows you the results, and lets you turn reviews into social media images. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a major feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.

3. Free trial, price and payment

• New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
• After the trial, the service costs £49/mo, billed monthly in advance by Stripe until you cancel.
• Prices are in pounds sterling. If we become VAT-registered, VAT will be added at the current rate, and we will tell you before it applies.
• We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
• If a payment fails, we may pause access until it is paid.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months, unless the law requires it.

5. Your responsibilities

• Only send review requests to real customers who have used your business, and only to contact details they gave you.
• Follow the law that applies to you, including UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
• Follow Google’s review policies. In particular, don’t offer incentives for reviews, don’t ask only happy customers to post (“review gating”), and never write or buy fake reviews. ReviewAdder is designed so every customer gets the same Google option.
• Only use reviews in social posts if they were genuinely given to your business, and don’t edit them in a misleading way.
• Keep your login secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put other users, customers or the service at risk.

6. Your customers’ data

When you enter your customers’ details, you are the controller and we are your processor. We will:

• process that data only to provide the service, on your instructions;
• make sure anyone who handles it is bound by confidentiality;
• keep it secure, and tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting it;
• use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, and tell you before adding a new one so you can object;
• help you respond to requests from individuals and with your other UK GDPR obligations, where reasonable;
• delete it when your account closes (or return it first if you ask), unless the law requires us to keep it;
• provide the information you reasonably need to show these terms are being met.

7. Ownership

You own your content and data. You give us permission to use it only as needed to run the service for you. We own the ReviewAdder software, design and brand.

8. Availability

We aim to keep ReviewAdder running at all times, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and there may be occasional maintenance.

9. Liability

• ReviewAdder helps you ask for reviews. We can’t promise a particular number of reviews, star rating, or search ranking.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill.
• Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before they apply.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
